WHAT IS REIKI AND HOW DOES DISTANCE REIKI WORK?

Reiki is an alternative holistic healing modality that treats the body, mind, and soul; and provides many beneficial effects including relaxation, feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Reiki has no contraindications and is safe for everyone including pets and even house plants!

 

While Reiki is a spiritual practice it is not a religious one as it has no dogma. It can be practiced along with any religion or none at all. The practitioner does not 'heal' you, they simply help guide the needed energy to you so that you may begin to heal yourself.

 

Following the principle that everything is energy and is connected, the practitioner serves as a channel to deliver universal life force energy (also known as qi or prana) to the recipient aiding in moving stagnant energy from areas that have suffered physical injury and/or emotional pain; by balancing energy, and removing energetic blocks that can cause illness.  Distance Reiki works the same way your radio or cell phone works. You cannot see these energetic frequencies but they are there and distance is not an obstacle as these frequencies travel through energetic currents to reach you in the comfort of your own home.

I will contact you at the provided email to ask you about your goals for our session and to request a photo, and your zip code (not an obligation but it can help me connect better with you). If you would like to set an intention for healing please let me know as well. If you are purchasing a session for someone else then I will need their info. instead of yours. Please note: You will need their consent to do this. You must confirm to me that you do. You can also purchase a session for a situation (such as an upcoming operation or exam) or for someone who has departed (as a way of sending them light -- I will intuitively ask if they are open to receiving Reiki energy, if I get a negative confirmation then I will offer you a full refund.

 

I will notify you when your session is completed and provide within two to three (2-3) days a .pdf with my notes, any intuitive information that I've gathered during the session that may or may not include energy center blockages, images or physical sensations, etc.; recommendations and/or affirmations to help you on your healing journey. Before a session, I ask your higher self and guides to only share with me what you are ready to process so that I may pass it on to you.

 

Oracle Card Reading (if purchased)

This is not meant to be purchased individually. The oracle card (x1) reading provided will be regarding the healing intention that you set for your Reiki session and/or the overall theme that your higher self and guides want to share with you. The reading will be included in the notes that I provide for your Reiki session via email.

WHAT TO DO DURING YOUR SESSION:

​

Whatever you want, you could even be sleeping! If you'd like to take advantage of our session you can gift yourself some me-time -you can set up a special nook away from distractions (can be indoors or outdoors) before your session with some pillows, light some candles, bring in some aromatherapy, and crystals, and set the mood with music (instrumental is preferred) -whatever helps you relax. You can silence your phone and ask not to be disturbed. You can take a few minutes prior to your session to meditate on your healing intentions.

WHAT YOU MIGHT EXPERIENCE DURING A DISTANCE SESSION:

​

Everyone’s experience with Reiki is different, even every session is different! But during your session, you may experience increased peace and relaxation, see colors, have visions; feel vibration, pulsing, or tingling. You may have certain emotions or memories come up. You may come to certain realizations. You may fall asleep or simply not experience anything at all. Whatever you experience or don't experience is okay, Reiki goes to where it is needed and does its work regardless. I recommend not worrying about this and just staying in the moment.

 

AFTER YOUR SESSION:

The beautiful thing about Reiki is that it helps get us out of our heads and into the moment. Stay with this gift as long as you can by trying not to process everything that you may have felt all at once. Some people experience certain reactions after sessions -- don't worry, this is normal. You can think of it as a detox. If you feel tired or out of sorts, I recommend a nice warm bath or shower, a few glasses of water, and some rest. Take it easy for a few days if you feel the need to.

 

When I contact you with my notes, I will also provide a link to a feedback form for you to include anything that came up for you or that you felt during the session so that we can further discuss it before closing. You can also use this to provide feedback to my notes if you like. Whatever you feel like sharing if anything is welcome.

ANIMAL REIKI

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM ME:

If you would like to set an intention for healing please let me know as well. You can also purchase a session for a situation (such as an upcoming operation or a stressful event) or for a pet who has departed (as a way of sending them light and to provide you with closure. -- I will intuitively ask if they are open to receiving Reiki energy, if I get a negative confirmation then I will offer you a full refund.

 

Once the session is completed, I will email you within two to three (2-3) days with a .pdf with my notes, any intuitive information that I've gathered during the session that may or may not include energy center blockages, images, or physical sensations, etc. and recommendations to help your pet on their healing journey. Before a session, I ask the group spirit of your pet's species, their higher self, and guides to only share with me what I can pass on to you.

WHAT TO DO DURING THE SESSION:

​

Nothing needs to be done to prepare your pet for the session or to receive Reiki energy. It's not necessary but if you want to you can book a time when your pet is normally relaxing or taking a nap. If they are undergoing a medical procedure and you'd like them to receive Reiki at the same time, that can be arranged as well.  Animal Reiki is fascinating (as well as traditional Reiki) and as I'm serving as a channel I connect to them through a language of the heart and spirit which is much less rigid than linear logical thinking and verbal communication. This is how I receive intuitive information during all of my sessions.

 

AFTER THE SESSION:

Some people experience certain reactions after sessions -- don't worry, this is normal. You can think of it as a detox. Regarding pets, I have seen pets experience some reactions as well such as a bit of grogginess, increased thirst and toxin elimination (urination, defecation, and occasionally bland stool) and in some cases increased mobility and/or playfulness. I recommend providing plenty of fresh water for your pet to drink and lots of TLC. You shouldn't notice any extreme reactions in any case.

When I contact you with my notes, I will also provide a link to a feedback form for you to include any changes that you may have noticed since the session or new info provided by a vet so that we can further discuss it before closing. You can also use this form to provide feedback to my notes if you like. Whatever you feel like sharing if anything is welcome. You may share my notes with your pet's veterinarian if you like.
